Reflecting on Client Wins in 2018

As we start 2019, we reflect on 2018. It was jammed packed full of client activity that helped our clients, staff and company grow. 2018 kicked off with Brad buying back the company from the Ivie family. Our time with Ivie was good in providing new experiences and perspectives, but we are thankful for Brad’s desire to focus on CLM and our team and clients. The move breathed a new life back into CLM. We spent time contemplating and developing CLM 3.0, CLM’s strategy for the future, and with that …READ MORE

Vision Critical Summit Brings Winds of Change

My journey began with a flurry of messages about Hurricane Florence and a state of emergency in Washington D.C. I had just landed in D.C. for the annual Customer Intelligence Summit hosted by Vision Critical, the community insights tool that our client, Idaho Lottery, uses to listen to their customers. My phone blew up with messages like “if you haven’t left, don’t come” and “we’re rearranging things if you’re here, we’ll let you know the new schedule.” The crazy whirlwind soon calmed into a space for sharing trends in insight …READ MORE

IAFE Wrap-Up: See Ya, Las Vegas

Each November, I have the pleasure of attending the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) conference in Las Vegas. This year was another great experience, but also a bittersweet ending to IAFE in Vegas. My conference started on an educational note. Sunday, I had the privilege of teaching an Intro to Advertising and Social Media course to professionals from across the country for the Institute for Fair Management. For the past 8 years, I’ve had the opportunity to share my expertise with other Fair professionals, and it’s rewarding not …READ MORE

Another Winning Year for the Idaho Lottery

On Tuesday night, the Lottery wrapped up another successful year with a drawing for the 11th $1,000,000 Raffle, which sold out on New Year’s Eve. The Idaho-only Raffle is one of the state’s most popular games, offering each buyer the best chance at a million bucks of any Idaho Lottery game. The winning announcement was broadcast on the lottery’s statewide draw partner stations KTVB, KTFT, 24/7, KPVI, and KLEW. And in case you haven’t checked your ticket yet, the winning number for the big jackpot was 119664. In addition to …READ MORE

Of Habits & Memories: The Real Humanity of Market Research

Market research often gets reduced to its jargon: targets, consumers, segments, and demographics. But at its heart, it is the study of humans, specifically the humans we are trying to reach with our marketing strategy. Reducing people to a spreadsheet or stat or slogan never really cuts through to the core of what makes us tick. Human beings are complex and emotional. We like being differently alike. We crave the unique, but love the comfortable. We love and hate, laugh and cry, celebrate and complain. And while we change all …READ MORE
