
For Those About to Rock
It may not be the Oscars but the Idaho ad industry likes to pat itself on the back at least once a year and the annual Rockies is their time to do just that. Put on by the Boise Advertising Federation, and a rotating cast of organizers, the Rockies are generally a good excuse to create ridiculous presenter skits, rub elbows with local adverati, and maybe have one gin & tonic too many. And while it’s important to take any award with a grain of salt, it’s also nice to receive a little recognition from your peers.
All done and said, we lugged home little, pyramid-shaped statuettes in the following categories:

- Silver in TV, Single Entry for Western Idaho Fair
- Silver in TV, Campaign for Western Idaho Fair
- Silver in Newspaper, Half-Page for Western Idaho Fair
- Silver in Newspaper, Any Size for Western Idaho Fair
- Silver in Newspaper, Regional/National for Willey Honda
- Silver in Magazine for Sundance Company
- Silver in Sales Promotion, Point-of-Sale for CradlePoint
- Silver in Sales Promotion, Free-Standing for Western Idaho Fair
- Silver in Potpourri for Idaho Department of Health & Welfare
We also got half-a-handful of Citations for a variety of other projects. (You can check out the full list, and some pics of the winning campaigns here). Not a bad night…
