How to Pick Up Chicks (And What To Do Once They’re Home With You)

The snow line is receding, afternoon visits to the park are shared with droves of other vitamin D seekers, and Hill Road is buzzing with cyclists. That can only mean one thing: it’s time for D&B Supply’s Annual Spring Chick Sale!

It’s no secret that the popularity of raising chickens in an urban setting has been consistently growing in recent years. Just about anyone reading this likely has a friend or neighbor (hopefully neighbors with just hens, no roosters!) with a coop in their backyard. And if your house consumes as many eggs as mine, you may have found yourself considering the idea of jumping into this feathery world of cluckery.

This spring, D&B Supply is your one-stop shop for chicks and everything you’ll need to raise them happy and healthy. Experts are on hand for any questions you may have and, best of all, D&B is hosting free classes with Nutrena sales specialists on how to care for your chicks and raise them to adulthood. The sessions will cover exactly what to do from the time you take your chicks home to raising them for egg production. See below for a list of classes happening soon at your local D&B, and best of (c)luck with your fine feathered friends!
